Zambian Youths Advised To Take Up Sports.

Defence Minister Richwell Siamunene has implored youths in the country to utilise their full potential in various sports disciplines which he said can be another major source of employment for them.

Siamunene who is also Sinazongwe Member of Parliament says Government is putting in a lot of resources in order to identify talent and develop sports in all parts of the Country hence the need for the youths to come out in large numbers to showcase their skills.
He was speaking in Sinazongwe during the Sinazongwe Annual Football and Netball Finals at Sinazongwe Basic School which attracted thousands of Sinazongwe residents and the surrounding communities.
Siamunene says Government will continue supporting sports in the rural areas to help young people excel and play in the premier league games in order to reduce poverty levels in the rural areas.
And Football Association of Zambia club licensing manager Erick Mwanza says the association will continue exploring and going in all parts of the Country to identify talent .
Mwanza said Sinazongwe having produced prominent players like Under 23 National Team Goal Keeper Toaster Nsabata, Zambia National soccer team player Spencer Sautu has the potential to produce great stars for the country.
Red Arrows Football Club head coach Mathews Phiri, Zambia Under 20 National Soccer Team Coach Chris Kaunda, Former Zambia National Soccer team captain Christopher Katongo were among the many people who were present at the tournament .
Zambeef Football Club emerged victories after beating night starts 2 goals to nil while Siankuku netball club won the netball category who both walked away with trophies and various presents.
The Sinazongwe District Annual Football and Netball tournament which has been running since 2000 is sponsored by Defence Minister Richwell Siamunene and has this year attracted Standard Chartered Bank who also contributed Footballs and Jerseys to the teams.
