Zambia bound to have an increase in rainfall activity.
THE Zambia Meteorological Department has predicted an increase in rainfall activity due to the moist Congo airflow, which will continue advancing south-wards affecting more areas to the west of Zambia.
According to a seven-day weather forecast for this week, the ZMD stated that moist and unstable airflow from Congo would be affecting the northern parts of Zambia, leaving the rest of the country under moist and unstable airflow from the north-east.
“Towards the end of the forecast period, the moist Congo airflow will continue advancing southwards thereby affecting more areas to the western half of Zambia. This will lead to an increase in rainfall activities over these areas,” stated ZMD, adding that between November 24 and 26, Lusaka, Eastern and Muchinga provinces would be partly cloudy to cloudy with afternoon showers and thunderstorm in few places.
