Zambia Army Ex Soldier Who Attempted To Commit Suicide Sent To Chainama.

The discharged Zambia Army staff sergeant Trywell Katukula, who earlier shot to fame after he climbed up a communication mast with intentions of plunging to his death last Wednesday, has been admitted to Chainama Hills Hospital to ascertain his mental stability.

Lusaka Province commissioner of police Charity Katanga said in Lusaka yesterday the former soldier will be in Chainama Hospital for the next two weeks to enable medical personnel to carry out necessary examinations on him.

Police will wait for results from Chainama before making decision on whether to charge him or not.

Zambia Army Staff Sargent Trywell Katukula , 44, last Wednesday drew the attention of many Zambians , including the Commander of the Zambia Army, Lieutenant-General Paul Mihova, when he threatened to end his life by plunging to his death from a communications mast because of his past conviction which he said he was framed and wrongly convicted for.
