Tear Gas Fills Pitch During Zambia Vs South Africa Under 20 AFCON 2017 Match
Zambia and South Africa were battling it out on the pitch during the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations clash when tear gas, apparently fired by police outside the arena, made its way to the pitch.

Tear gas us mainly used in riotous situations to control a violent crowd. Tear gas causes numerous problems including eye, respiratory and skin irritation. In more severe cases, it can cause permanent blindness and even death.
After sometime, fans in the seats also became affected, even though many continued to cheer as the referee delayed play by a whole 8 minutes.
Zambia went on to win the match 1-0 in the second half of extra time and progressed to the final, with Edward Chilufya netting the crucial goal with a spot on header.
