Race To State House Takes Off

Race To State House Takes Off.

THE race to State House starts tomorrow as presidential candidates begin filing their nominations.

Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) chairperson, Esau Chulu has emphasised the need for political parties to adhere to and respect the Electoral Code of Conduct in order to ensure a fair and level playing field during campaigns.

ECZ announced the schedule for obtaining nomination papers from the presidential candidates and their running-mates at a briefing for presidential candidates at Hotel InterContinental in Lusaka yesterday.

As the race continues, key political players in the Zambian political arena have vowed to put on their A-game. However, some have admitted to having scores to settle.

Hypothetically speaking, if government changes the current leaders will have cases to answer.
