Post Newspapers Editor -In-Chief Fred M’membe Charged and Released.

ZAMBIA POLICE  yesterday formally charged and released Post Newspapers editor -in-chief Fred M’membe, his wife Mutinta and his deputy managing editor Joseph Mwenda for uttering a false document.

The trio had also been arrested for breaking into a building with intent to commit a felony contrary to section 304 of the penal code.

“Police in Lusaka have formally charged and arrested: Mr. Fred M’membe, his wife Mutinta Mazoka M’membe and Mr Joseph Mwenda for: Breaking into a building with intent to commit a felony Contrary to Section 304 of the Penal Code Act, criminal trespass Contrary to Section 306(a) of the Penal Code Act and uttering a false document Contrary to Section 352 of the Penal Code Act,” Police deputy spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said.

The trio have been released on police bond and are scheduled to appear in court next week on Thursday.
