New Airport Project In Ndola Starts Off.
Zambia Airports Corporation has awarded AVIC International the US$397 million contract to construct Greenfield International Airport in Ndola.
According to the information released for press by Zambia Airports Corporation communications and brand manager Mweembe Sikaulu, the Ndola airport construction is expected to take three years.
“The construction of the Greenfield International Airport in Ndola has been awarded to AVIC International Holding Corporation at a cost of US$397 million. An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the construction of the airport will be conducted this month,” she stated.
Sikaulu also stated that negotiations for the US$122.3 million Mfuwe International Airport works awarded to China National Complete Engineering Corporation on the scope of work and conceptual design were currently underway.
