Marijuana Is My Source Of Strength, Narrates 18 Year Old
AN 18-YEAR-OLD man of Chingola has told the Chingola magistrate’s court that he smokes marijuana because it gives him strength and focus when performing strenuous duties.
Before senior resident magistrate Davies Chibwili on Wednesday was the teenager of Kabundi East who pleaded guilty to one count of trafficking in psychotropic substances.
When the court read out the charge against him, he said he understood and admitted it.
“Your honour, I understand and admit the charge. I was found with the dagga and I smoke. I usually go out to work and when I smoke, I work hard because the dagga gives me strength. Your honour, I had no right to be found with the drugs,” he said.
Mr Chibwili adjourned the matter to January 6, 2016 for facts.
“I have recorded a plea of guilty. You will come for facts on January 6 next year,” Mr Chibwili said.
Particulars of the offence are that the juvenile, on December 17 this year in Chingola, trafficked in 84 grammes of marijuana without lawful authority.
He was treated as an adult in court because he failed to provide documents to prove his age.
