Load shedding To Reduce Next Month – Lungu Promises
ZAMBIANS have been promised to expect a significant relief from the nettlesome load shedding they have endured over the months by next one month, President Lungu has assured.
The President said in Lusaka yesterday that the country’s electricity supply deficit is expected to drop from the current 1,000 megawatts (MW) to 400 MW.
This will drastically reduce the load shedding hours.
President Lungu was speaking at State House when he addressed journalists on the state of the nation following the dissolution of Parliament yesterday.
Zambia has been rocked with load shedding for the past months so much that being engulfed in total darkness has become a norm everyone now has accepted. In the dorm of civilization it seems Zambia unlike other nations is backtracking however many Zambians are optimistic about the future.
Many critics have raised points saying these advances by the President and his chamber of councilors in his inner circle are just advancing and leveraging Zambians to give them votes come August 2016. Critics have also predicted that once PF is back in and comfortably setting at on its throne load shedding is prone to occur again only that time worse.
