Milenge district commissioner James Nyenjele said in an interview yesterday that the boreholes have been drilled in different chiefdoms across the district.
“ We recently embarked on a programme to drill boreholes in Milenge and so far 80 of them have been completed. This is in an effort to improve the supply of clean water and sanitation in the area,” Mr Nyenjele said.
He said it is important for people to have access to clean water to prevent the outbreak of waterborne diseases in the area.
Mr Nyenjele also said Milenge residents are happy with the development projects that Government is implementing in the area.
