Fuel Prices In Zambia Continue Rising.
The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) of Zambia has disclosed yet another rise in the price of petroleum products by K1.13 petrol, K1.00 diesel, K0.72 Kerosene and K0.99 for low surlphur.
This was the official statement issued by the Energy Regulation Board of Zambia today. The new prices will take effect from 13th July 2015.
The Energy Regulation Board Of Zambia has blamed the depreciation of the Zambian Kwacha mainly due to the global strengthening of the U.S. dollar against major currencies, low copper prices and weak foreign currency inflows.
The Energy Regulation Board Of Zambia last increased the prices of petroleum products on 12th May 2015.
Most Zambians have complained against the constant rise in fuel prices as this eventually affects prices of other goods as well. Transportation costs will drastically rise, as most bus services will try to take advantage of the situation. Eventually, food prices countrywide will rise as well.
